Kitchen Design- It’s All in the Planning
Designing a kitchen might look simple, but it’s actually a dance of movement, light, and logic.
The secret is in the planning. Every drawer, every outlet, every little detail has a purpose- because a truly functional kitchen is all about how you live in it.
When I plan a kitchen, I imagine real life: walking in with grocery bags, unpacking, cooking, cleaning, hosting, enjoying. I walk that routine in my mind many, many times until I know exactly where everything should be.

Here’s how I approach every kitchen design in Marbella and across the Costa del Sol:
The Flow -From the moment you enter with your shopping bags, everything should feel natural. The fridge, pantry, and countertop for unloading should be right where you need them.
Right or Left Handed? – It matters more than people think! I design the sink, prep zone, and cooking area to fit your natural movement – so everything just flows.
Smart Storage – Cutlery near the table, pots and pans close to the stove, plates by the dishwasher. When everything has its place, cooking feels effortless.
Drawers over Doors -I almost always prefer drawers. You see everything at once, no bending, no clutter. Just clean, smooth, and functional.
Dishwasher Placement – Right next to the sink, with space to unload straight into the cabinet. It’s those small, practical details that make all the difference.
The Coffee Corner -My personal favorite. A cozy little nook with your cups, coffee machine, and sugar – ready for those peaceful morning rituals.
Lighting Layers -Task lighting for prep areas, soft ambient glow for evenings, and under-cabinet lighting for that warm, elegant touch. A well-lit kitchen always feels luxurious.

The Right Questions:
Do we cook every day or mostly on weekends?
Do we host friends often?
How many people use the kitchen at once?
Do you want a breakfast bar or an appliance garage?
Because great kitchen design isn’t just about style -it’s about you. A well-planned space feels intuitive, elegant, and alive.
If you’re dreaming of a kitchen that looks beautiful and works perfectly for your lifestyle, reach out -I’d love to help you create it.
